Christian by NAME not LIFESTYLE

"Men lie, women lie but your lifestyle don't"
It really burdens my heart that so many people are self deceived. Everyone you know calls themselves a Christian, and everyone says that they love God, but their lifestyle says the complete opposite. Titus 1:16 Such people claim they know God but they deny him by the way that they live. It baffles me how one can call themselves a Christian(a follower of Christ) but follow the patterns of the world.Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the patterns of the world,be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve that God's will is his good, pleasing and perfect will. How can I say that Jesus is my Lord but I pick and choose what parts of His word that I want to obey?Or I believe the scriptures unless it exposes my sins or goes against my lifestyle. The bible isn't a buffet where we can pick and choose what we like and ignore the rest! When you follow Jesus, it is TOTAL identity with Him. There is no such thing as partial belief or partial salvation. A person who does not totally commit himself to Christ disbelieves in Him, no matter how many positive things he may have to say about Him.

Just because you go to church, was raised in the church,on the usher board,or in the choir doesn't mean you are born again! You will know a Christian by their FRUIT not by their church attendance! Matthew 7:20 yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit,so you can identify people by their actions. When you are born again it's a supernatural work of the Holy spirit where one is regenerated. They are given a new heart, new desires, and affections for God. The sin that they once loved, they will hate. Everything about them will begin to change, and the worldliness will begin to fall off. 2 Corinthians 5:17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ becomes a new person. The old life is gone;a new life has begun. So when God transforms a soul, defiance is replaced by compliance. Rebellion is replaced by submission. Lawlessness is replaced by obedience. Hate for God's Law is replaced by love for God's Law.Salvation is not that one time when you said that prayer but go back to living the same way you were. Myself and so many other people who are now born again believed in the past that we were saved because we said the sinners prayers. We confessed Jesus with our mouth but our hearts were so far from him! I was still practicing sin and not bearing the fruit of Christ! It's not enough to say that you say you believe in God because even demons believe in God!James 2:19 You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one God. Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror!

So many people who call themselves Christians have convinced themselves that nothing is wrong with clubbing, getting drunk, or  premarital sex. Christians are suppose to be SET APART and the LIGHT. So tell me what makes a "Christian" who lives this way different from an unsaved person? Absolutely nothing! If you smoke weed, get drunk,go clubbing, curse, and watch porn then there is nothing different between you and an unsaved person because ya'll partake in the same sinful activities. The way you distinguish a saved person from an unsaved person is by the way that they LIVE not what comes out of their mouth. A Christian's life should be dramatically different from an unbeliever by the way that they live.1 Peter 4:3 You have had enough in the past of the evil things that godless people enjoy-their immorality and lust, their feasting and drunkenness and wild parties, and their terrible worship of idols.

So many of us will make excuses for our sins instead of turning from sin. We cannot try to justify our sins and try to cover them up. If we confess our sins God is faithful to forgive us. I John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins.We can't try to lie to ourselves and God because he knows everything. Be REAL with God and tell him that you love your sins and you need help to turn away and repent from them. We also have to retire these old phrases  "No one is perfect" "God knows my heart" "God ain't finish with me yet" yeah yeah yeah and you notice everyone only uses these phrases just to make excuses for their sin. Yes, no one is perfect but we serve the One who is perfect,Christ! God does know your heart and your lifestyle is a direct reflection of what's in your heart! None of the excuses will cut it because God sent His son to die for our sins, and He's gave us everything we need to live a Godly life! (2 peter 1:3)By his divine power,God has given us everything we need for a godly life.

Do Christians sin?! Yes!! 1 John 1:8 If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living the truth but Christians DO NOT practice sin. Let me say it again CHRISTIANS DO NOT PRACTICE SIN. 1 John 5:18 We know that God's children do no make a practice of sinning, for God's Son holds them securely and the evil one cannot touch them. Practice is defined as to perform or exercise repeatedly or regularly. If I willfully engage in sex with my lil boyfriend all the time with no remorse or no repentance, I'm practicing fornication, which is sin! Also there is premeditated and intentionally sinning  It's when you plan to sin. Like this week I'm getting drunk, about to cheat on my taxes etc. That's premeditated! 1 John 3:9 Those who have been born into God's family do not make a practice of sinning, because God's life is in them. So they can't keep on sinning, because they are children of God. Yes God's grace is sufficient to cover our sins but grace DOES NOT allow us to live any kind of way that we want!(Jude 1:4 I say this because some ungodly people have wormed their way into your churches, saying that God's marvelous grace allows us to live immoral lives)

One of the saddest thing is when you try to warn or correct people they get mad and scream "Stop judging me" or "She think she so perfect now" The bible clearly tells us to rebuke, of course in love.2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word of God.Be prepared whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching. This is not about me trying to look like a "Super Christian" or "Extra Holy." I do this because I genuinely care about people who are lost because their souls are at stake. I was once lost and on the way to hell too because I THOUGHT I was a Christian also. What kind of person would I be if I knew the truth but I kept it to myself because I didn't want to offend you? I care more about your eternity than how you feel about me!James 5:20 You can be sure that whoever brings the sinner back will save that person from death and bring about the forgiveness of many sins."Not to rebuke sin is a form of hatred, not love. Refusing to warn a person about his sin is just as unloving as refusing to warn him about a serious disease he may have. A person who does not warn a friend about his sin cannot claim love as his motive."John Macarthur

I can't stress the importance of listening to biblically sound doctrine and preachers who don't sugarcoat or water down the gospel. I can't listen to preachers who make me "feel good" or the ones who make you comfortable and content with living in sin. I listen to preachers who make me examine myself and see where I align with the word. If your preacher doesn't address sin, repentance, dying to your flesh, holiness, hell, the love and wrath of God then you may need to find a new church home.Just because it's a "Christian church" it doesn't mean that they are preaching the true gospel! 1 John 4:1Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world."A no-repentance gospel, a no-holiness gospel, a no-submission gospel, a no-transformation gospel is the devil's lie to give false security to damned people." John macArthur

So I challenge you to test yourselves to see if you are really a Christian! Don't trust in your salvation because of that 1 time you said that prayer, how much you go to church, how good of a person you think you are, or because your parents told you so. Look at scripture and it will definitely tell you if you are saved.  2 Corinthian 13:5 Examine yourselves to see if your faith is genuine. Test yourselves. Surely you know that Jesus Christ is among you; if not, you have failed the test of genuine faith.
